"Perfect 10" Award
In Memory of Megan L. Herring
We are proud to be giving the "Perfect 10" award for the third year at the Fraulein Volleyfest to honor the memory of Megan Herring. It will be given along with the other awards at the concludsion of the tournament. A deserving player from any of the 40 teams may be a recipient. Like Megan, we will look for qualities that exhibit a passion for the game, a love for her teammates and fulfills her role on the team with a positive attitude.
Megan was a 2007 graduate of Smithson Valley High School and played varsity ball with the mighty Rangers where her teammates nicknamed her "Perfect 10."
In efforts to keep Megan's spirit alive and to spread her message of putting God first in her life, her famiy will honor a senior volleyball player from one of our area schools with a Megan L. Herring Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship will assist a college-bound student/athlete with her future endeavors to reach her goals.
